Congratulations to Brynne Poore for winning the $50 Modcloth Gift Card! I am so excited for you. I cannot wait to hear what you get. : ). And thank you to everyone who entered! I really appreciate it. When I thought of the silly question about honey, I wondered what people would say. There were so many interesting responses. It ended up being my favorite question and answer for a giveaway and each answer made my day. I especially loved Sarah’s answer. It made me smile.
On Tuesday I visited my daddy’s bee farm. It was such a relaxing and fun day. The kids rode on his ATV and shot their bb guns that he bought them for Christmas. We made Honey Vanilla Ice Cream. I made Beef Stroganoff for dinner so he would have plenty of leftovers for the next few nights. And the night before we were going, I woke up giddy. I told my husband, “Honey! I could do some outfit photos there!” And we did! A lot of them. I cannot wait to post them, but I am behind. As always.
The only bad part of the day was that I discovered I am a terrible shot.
I told my husband on the ride home, “Honey, I’ve always had that. I always knew that I am not a tough chick, but I could shoot a gun.” Don’t ask me why I thought this, because I had never shot a gun before. But I was convinced that I would be amazing at it.
He laughed.
But now that dream is crushed. And I am seriously more worried in the event of a zombie apocalypse.
For my birthday, I received so many Anthropologie Gift Cards (which is awesome!). I also received a Free People gift card but I promptly used it on this and this. I am hoarding the Anthropologie ones for a good sale price on most things. But that does not prevent me from lusting after a few pretties. Here are my cravings for July:
Anthropologie’s Daisy Dot Dress. It is a great silhouette. I wish there were reviews on it, but as of this writing, I do not see any.
If Anthropologie’s Solana Dress had sleeves, I would consider it a full priced purchase, but alas, it does not. I love the pink color and the shape of this.
After Tuesday’s post, I have been searching for some decent slips with pretty hems. I love Modcloth’s Can’t Stop Dancing Half Slip.
And Modcloth’s Give Me Gracefulness Full Slip in grey. I don’t think you can have too many slips. I love this tulle.
Finally, I had a dream that I owned the Midland Button Cuff. I think that is a sign. Do you think David Beckham would like it?
What are you craving this month? Have you all ready splurged? Please share!

OMG, I am in love with the Daisy Dot dress . . .I hadn’t noticed that one before!! It is soooooooooo pretty!!! Please do a review on your blog if you get a chance to get your hands on it!!!
Thank you! I will definitely review it if I get a chance although I do not have any plans to go to an Anthropologie any time soon. Maybe August? I am curious to see the fabric in real life! : )
Have a great weekend!

Those FP dresses are so gorgeous! I can’t wait to see how you style them. You always find the best FP stuff. I never seem to find anything in store, but than you always have the cutest stuff from there!
I am loving the Star-gazer maxi from Anthro, but am really trying to hold off for a second cut (if it last that long!) I don’t really wear my dresses as much as I would like because of nursing, so I need to just use what I have! BUT, it is sooo comfy on!
Thank you Alicia! I love the Star Gazer Dress. I wonder if you could get it on a popback. I am waiting for a few popbacks on third cuts. So, I might be out of luck but it is a gamble I willingly take. : ). I am in the middle of writing a popback post. But I want it to be accurate for June and July.
I hope you are having a great day!

I think David Beckham would LOOOOOVE that bracelet! Haaa!
He! He! I do, too. ; )
Have a fun day!

Congrats Brynne! I am going to do a post soon about the “wine nachos” I had at my friend’s party and which I recreated at home. Really simple: dark chocolate, blue cheese and honey. I wish I had known about them before your honey question. My due date is Nov. 21. Can’t wait to see more pictures from the farm!
Oooh! Yum! November is soon! Oh mu gosh. You might have a Thanksgiving baby. How sweet. The funny thing is I took pictures all around the property. It used to be a cattle ranch way, way, way back when, so it has tons of old dilapidated buildings that are amazing for photo shoots. My dad’s bee barn is pretty and clean and does not make for great backdrops. So, I did not get any with bees. There is one picture where you can see hives in the background, but that is it. Maybe November when I go back for Thanksgiving. It will be cooler then, too, so I could do some inside his barn.
Have a beautiful day!

The photo of you on the tractor wearing those gladiator boots and dress is brilliant.
I like the idea of that grey tulle slip but don’t care for the colour.
I’ve been good this month and only bought in the consignment stores. I’m going to try to cut back even more. Baby steps… : )
bisous
Suzanne
Thank you Suzanne! Ha! Grey is one of my favorite colors. I do want that slip. I think it will be an August purchase. You are such a treasure finder of consignment pieces. It is brilliant! I always adore seeing what you find.
Have a beautiful day!

haha, yes, I think David would like that cuff, get it! omg your dad has a bee farm? that is sooo cool and I can’t wait to see your upcoming outfit posts! I love that modcloth extender…going to check it out! I just picked up some cute dresses from buffalo exchange that are way to short for me and found this cute skirt extender from Country Outfitters… http://www.countryoutfitter.com/search?q=skirt+extender+
I am not brave enough to post my outfits, though! I will just keep admiring your posts! haha!
I wish you would post outfits! You are so cute. And, girl, you do not look like you have a daughter going into college! Have not heard of either the buffalo exchange or country outfitters. I will definitely be checking them out more often. That skirt extender is awesome and I also like their lace boot socks. Aaahhh! More stuff I want! ; )
Have a wonderful weekend!

Ooh, countryside outfit posts! Can’t wait! You look so cute perched on that tractor!
My current cravings… Well, the Bermeja tunic dress in white is on top of the list (I got it in black on sale!) and then there’s the Gallery Row dress, which would pretty much be the perfect dress to celebrate Norwegian independence day in! Which is in May… perhaps the dress will have gone on sale by then? Haha!
And congrats to Brynne! Hope you get yourself something pretty!
That darn dress has been taking its sweet time hitting sale don’t you think? I hope you get it in white. I really want to see the black on you, too. And thank you for the comment on the tractor! I almost had a heart attack when I was trying to get down and saw I was surrounded by grease. I got a tiny bit on my gladiators on the side, but nothing like it could have been!
Have a super day!

That grey slip from ModCloth is gorgeous. I can’t wait to see your outfit posts on the bee farm. Very excited about that!
I want to let you know that I used my $25 Anthro gift certificate towards the purchase of my Mih Marrakesh jeans I just got. I combined it with another gift certificate and took a gamble from where they were located in the store that they would go on sale soon. And they did. So I got a PA. Hmmmm… thinking I will style them another way and then do a blog post. I’ll be sure to mention Gnome Lover. Funny how I just got inspired while writing this comment.
Thank you!!!! And congrats to Brynne!
Yay! I am so excited you got a pair of jeans! How the heck did you know they would hit sale?! You must be getting your special powers from Marcy. ; ). I cannot wait to see you style them, my friend who rocks the jeans!
Have a wacky weekend (in the best possible way)!
