The winner of the Etsy Gift Card is Kristen. Congratulations! And thank you to everyone who entered. I really appreciate it!
I am so behind right now with this blog. I am doing my best to catch up. Thank you so much for being patient. The good news is all of our bags are now unpacked. The laundry is done. And the house is actually clean (attributed only to the fact that my two children are away for the week). This also means I can finally take some recent house pictures because there are a few new things I want to share. The first thing will be coming up in a post on Thursday. I am going to try to squeeze in some more home posts in the coming month.
As far as purchases or cravings, there are not a lot right now. Sometimes it seems as though stores have so many things that I really want and other times, there is hardly anything. This is one of those times. All I have purchased this month, as far as clothing is concerned, is this skirt. It hit sale and was selling out.
There are some things I have my eye on. I am only human, after all. But I will be waiting for sale:
At the top of my wishlist is Modcloth’s Porchlandia Dress. I love the embroidery. The price is right. And I like the shape. This one I might not wait for sale for. Maybe it will be a birthday purchase.
I love Free People’s Everyday Girl Swiss Buttondown. I can think of so many ways I would wear this top. It is one I will be watching.
I have been craving more items for the house than I have clothes. I am in love with this pillow from Urban Outfitters.
I recently purchased some more gnomes from The Moon Goat on Etsy. I wish I could buy all of the ones shown here. Aren’t they awesome? She is so talented! I only had one girl gnome in my house and this seemed entirely unfair and way too Smurflike. So, I added two more girl gnomes to the mix.
In reading news, I just finished The Girl With All the Gifts. I will have a full review of this book coming up, but if you like “The Walking Dead”, than I recommend this book. It is about zombies. I do not want to say anything else for fear of giving anything away. And I am thrilled about the sequel to Blood Song (my review for Blood Song can be found here) coming out in July and Patrick Rothfuss’ short novella coming out in September. I love looking forward to new adventures!
What are you cravings this month? Have the stores released anything you are pining for? I am hoping the best is yet to come!

Those gnomes are so CUTE!
I didn’t buy that blue skirt you saw me try on in Anthro on my birthday, but it is on my wish list should it go on sale. I’m really trying to stick to my rule about not buying anything at Anthro unless it is on sale and then only shopping vintage or thrift. I did end up picking up a sweet green cardigan from Anthro on sale.
Otherwise I did buy the most amazing vintage Marilyn Monroe black sequin 1950’s dress. I’ve been looking for sequinned dress for ages and this is just perfect. I cannot gain an ounce though. Not an ounce. Now I need to find an occasion to wear it.
If you don’t mind me asking…who do you do your affiliate links program through?
bisous
Suzanne
Thank you Suzanne. I love those gnomes. I cannot wait to get my girl gnomes!
I hope you are able to get that blue skirt when it hits sale. It is going to be great on you. I am in the same state of mind. I am only buying sale. I will write you an email about affiliate links. There are two programs I recommend and one that I do not, so I want to give you options. I will write you after my husband goes to work tomorrow. : )
Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Head’s up that Zulily has Free People on sale today!! (if you haven’t ordered from them before, another head’s up — no returns)
Thank you Dina. I have never even heard of Zulily before. I checked it out, but most of the stuff was gone by the time I did. I am too slow. : (. I usually buy all of my Free People from Nordstrom Rack because it tends to be cheaper than the discount sites. Thank you for the heads up. I appreciate it. I am still hoping to find that Rio Dress on a big discount one day.
Have a happy Wednesday!

Oh that tiger pillow is grrrreat (hehe!). Did you also see the Magical Thinking Forest Creature embroidered tapestry? So pretty!:

Ha! I love the grrreat! So funny. I had not seen that tapestry. Added it to my want list. They have some great stuff for the home right now. I have no idea how their sales work so I do not know what or how or when to watch for. Now I want that ram rug, too!
Thanks for the recommendation!

Congrats Kristen! Thanks for the heads up on the zoo/tax deductible thing. Spaghetti sauce was a hit. My husband hates coffee, so I was worried he would guess the secret, but he didn’t. I brewed a cup on my Keurig, and the grounds in the K-cup were the perfect amount – no measuring!
Yay! Oh good, I am glad to help with that. Check on your zoo’s FAQ page and it should have exactly how much of it is tax deductible. Every little bit helps! : )
I am so glad you guys liked it. It is even better the next day. That is our favorite time to eat it. Ha! I love that he didn’t know. I do that, too. My husband hates cottage cheese, but what he doesn’t know won’t hurt him. ; )
Have a great week!

cute stuff! the gnomes are so adorable! I could see justification to go broke over buying gobs of them….
Thank you Melodee. I can only afford a few gnomes a year, but they make me happy. I cannot wait to introduce my new gnomes! I am very excited! : )
Have a fantastic Wednesday!

Oh that dress and button down are perfection. They will look great on you! I am not wanting too much right now. I am hoping to get tunic and cardigan on another cut from Anthro…but nothing else.
Thank you Alicia. I am glad that I am not the only one who just is not into anything right now. As far as clothes. : ). Everything is looking the same everywhere I turn. I hope it gets better. And I really hope you get your items on an awesome cut!
Have a happy week!

Those gnomes are cute! I had really wanted the Aliso Midi Skirt from Anthro. I got it yesterday and it doesn’t fit. It runs at least 2 sizes too small. And the color is kind of tacky – it reminds me of a Pez dispenser. Ah well another skirt will come around and really I don’t need another skirt. Just really wanted one!
What a bummer. I hate when I have high hopes for something and it does not meet expectations. Hopefully you will find something even better. I have had that happen with a nonreturnable item. That one sucked. I still don’t know what to do with that one. I know a perfect Cynthia skirt is on its way! I can feel it! : )
Have a lovely Wednesday!

It’s always a great feeling when everything is unpacked from a trip.
I tried on some dresses at Anthro on Sunday and found a hot pink 50’s style that I love. I will wish list it since I hate paying full price.
That pillow is really cute. I look forward to seeing your house photos.
Have a great day,
Stacey
Yes it is. My kids will be coming home on Saturday and I will be having to do the whole unpacking thing all over again. Yay! I am glad you found a dress. I cannot wait to see it. I just took some house photos today. I hope to get them up soon. : )
Have a great week!

The gnomes! Oh, the gnomes! They are the sweetest. I have a small collection of felted critters that I put out for different holidays. I have a green and purple dragon that I put out for Halloween. He is my favorite. And Kyle has always loved dragons since he was a little boy.
My birthday is creeping up on me quite quickly, and the questions of “What do you want for your birthday?” are stressing me out. How have I not planned ahead? I’m always on top of things when it comes to presents! lol I need to put together a “cravings” wishlist of my own!

Okay. I want a felted dragon!!! So badly! They are SO expensive on Etsy. I am holding out. He would be out yearlong here. We collect dragons, too. Dragons and gnomes. And books. And clothes. Oh. And dish towels.
When is your birthday? Are you a Gemini or a Cancer? I am a Cancer.
Have a great Friday!
Jenni
Yay, I’m so glad Kristen got it! 🙂 Your cravings are all so cute, especially the gnomes! I’m currently craving the Bermeja tunic dress in white (UK stores only stock it in black! ARGH!) and it’s All Your Fault for looking so darn adorable in it!! 😉 And I’m reading a fantasy novel by Guy Gavriel Kay set in a country based on the Song Dynasty in China. It’s really wonderful, and sort of unexpectedly funny too sometimes, which I love. 🙂
Thank you Gwen! I bet it makes it to sale. It has mixed reviews. I want it in black, too, but I am hoping to get it at second cuts so it will feel like I got the other one at a decent price. My brain works funny.
That book sounds so good! I am currently reading, “The Golem and the Jinni.” It is slow but my husband assures me the best is yet to come.
Have a great night!
