There is a lizard in my garage. I keep leaving the door open and he will not leave. He is big. He stares at me. I think he wants to eat me. I am being held hostage in the house by a reptile.
I had to get my kids from school. I hesitantly opened the door and peeked out. He was guarding my car door. I quickly rushed in the opposite direction. I flew into the car. I locked the door as fast as I could. Yes, I said, I locked the door as fast as I could…
He’s a wily little sucker.
Please tell me he’s not here to stay.
Yikes! I’d run as fast as possible from that sucker! Freaky!

I grew up with lizards running all through our backyard so I’m used to them. I also grew up with having mice and rats (!!) as pets!! So they don’t scare me either. I’ve also seen a fair number of rattlesnakes so they don’t really freak me out too much. But there is one thing that scares the heck out of me…..cockroaches!!! I didn’t grow up with them so they are just so creepy and awful to me. When I was in my 20’s, I had a cockroach in my apartment and went to my neighbor’s house to have him come over and kill it. He wasn’t home, but his girlfriend’s 16-year-old sister was there. I asked her if she was afraid of them, and she said “no.” So she came over and whacked it with her shoe. I thought she was so brave especially since she was only 16 years old!!
We just bought a house and have tons of lizards in the yard. They do startle me at times but I’d much rather have them than cockroaches. Unfortunately however I think we have cockroaches too!!! UGH!
Oh no! I do not like cockroaches either! I remember my first apartment had them after my roommate used boxes from the restaurant we both worked at to move in. Which, does not bode well for the restaurant. I feel your pain.
You are a brave girl with the lizards and the rodents! I need a bigger backbone!

That is very funny Jenni. Locking the door is very important cause you never know he may just creep up and open the door and say “Hi beauty?” He look like a big one. My cats bring in Lizards all the time and I have to wrestle them away. I usually put a bucket over the lizard and then slide a piece of cardboard under and take them back out to put them over the fence. Of course I like having them around (not in the house) cause they eat bugs and insects that would otherwise eat my roses. He is kinda cute!
The fast movements are what scares me. I am so scared they are going to crawl on me…and then what? I am not sure! They are fantastic for the bugs. But we seem to have an infestation of lizards. They are everywhere in our yard. I guess it could be worse!
Thank you for stopping by and commenting! I very much appreciate it!
Have a magical day!

Oh BTW… a spritz bottle with water and good aim will do wonders. 🙂
That is a fantastic idea! I will definitely have to try that…now to practice my aim!
Have a great day!

I can send Sydney over to trap him…she loves to hunt lizards!!
Send her over immediately.
NOW!
Forget about school.
Do not feed her breakfast.
I can put a cot in my garage.
I am sure she will love it.
Jenni
woah.. that is scary!! It’s gonna open the car door if you didn’t lock it!! lol
So true, Keiko. So true.
They are tricky little guys.
Even the name is creepy.
Help me!
Jenni
Hahahahahahahaha…..(taking a breath)…..Hahahahahahaha!!! Gosh, I’m surprised the kids having snatched that thing up and given it a good home in one of their rooms! I showed the little guy what’s in your garage and his eyes got huge. He says it’s name should be either “Fish” or “Kikihuni” in honor of our cats. Yeah, you gotta get that out of there. Do you remember when we were kids and a snake lizard got into the house and was hanging from the microwave? And then Mom went to open it and almost had a heart attach? Again, hahahahahahaha!!! 🙂
Yes, but the lizard does eat all of those spiders you are so scared of! I can totally see your son chasing this lizard! I like his names. I hope it does not stick around long enough to actually be called by one. Shivers. Not good!
Love you!
