Free People’s Annual 4 Hour Sale

UPDATE: Sorry. This sale is now over. Enjoy your day! : )

It has begun! The once a year sale from Free People! They are offering 20% off orders of $200-499 and 25% off orders over $500. It is only from 7-11 p.m. EST. You get early access through their app at 6:30 p.m. EST. Update on 11/21/2014: This sale is now over. Last year I sat out of this one. This year, I might ask my husband for a few things. Meaning I may or may not get something for me for Christmas. I hardly ever do these types of posts, but I do not feel as though Free People advertises this sale very well. So here are the things I love right now at Free People:

The Eyelet Duster. I actually purchased this at the beginning of the year and was bummed because the buttons fell off. I returned it, but I do think it is worth it for the sale price. This is one I will probably be getting.

I do not wear my White Romance Embroidered Maxi Dress often, but when I do, I feel completely magical. I would get married in this in a heartbeat.

Red Boots (so rad. So rad. So rad). There is nothin’ more to say about these. I mean, come on. They are the epitome of cool.

My Mix Print Tunic is one of my favorite things in my closet.

I adore this Carolina K Dress. It is so amazing. Hand crocheted. Enough said.

IMG_1306.JPG

I own three of these Miles of Henley Dress. I love a vest thrown over them. Perfectly bohemian casual.

This jacket. On sale. Gorgeous. Mommy wants.

I have recently realized I never posted the post for The Shadow Hacci Top. That is because I took pictures of this outfit as part of a recipe post. Trouble is, I did not like the recipe. And I only post recipes I truly love here. I will have to post the pictures minus the recipe soon. The top is fabulous over a slip (use any lingerie. It will look pretty) and jeans or a long maxi. This top was sold out for a very long time and they just restocked it. I don’t expect it will stay in stock long. I ordered a medium and I like the slouchy fit. The small was fine, too, but I liked the ability to wear one side off the shoulder in the larger size. I actually scored this top last week for $10 on a popback and wore it on Tuesday with this sweater. I did not get a picture of it, because I had antibiotics and ibuprofin for breakfast and tylenol and sudafed for lunch that day. But I swear it happened. It wasn’t a fever dream.

And I also love these trapeze slips. I own only one (shown worn in different ways above), but I see girls wearing them everywhere. When I was in Maui, I saw three girls wearing them as swimsuit coverups.

Are you going to splurge on anything? And would you do red boots? I might also pick up this dress in indigo, if I can figure out what size to get. Oh! This sale is too open-ended good! My wee little heart can’t take it.

  1. You should be a Free People model! I especially love the Miles of Henley dress pictures and it looks like they are watermarked which is a good idea. We should protect our favorite pictures!
    Thanks for sharing,
    Stacey

    • You are so sweet! Thank you! I marked the photos like that because I wanted all of the pictures to look uniformed. I would love to be able to do that more only because I hate when someone uses my picture to sell someone an item of clothing on eBay. I don’t want anyone thinking it is me selling that article of clothing. That sucks when that happens.

      Have a great week!

  2. I bought the Joes LaceUp boots in brown with my birthday discount this year!! And I was eyeing on the red ones too! I wanted black or brown last year, or was it couple years ago, when they came up online for the first time. I couldn’t afford them back then.. but I still wanted them, so I finally purchased them this year! I will be wearing them soon!!

Are you gonna buy the red ones?? I can’t wait to see you wearing them!!
I received the email and was tempted… but right now.. I am super broke… plus I have nowhere to ship to! I have to wait til next month at least! Tell me what you got!!

    • I cannot wait to see your brown boots! I did order the red ones for my husband to gift to me. I hope I like them. I am not even going to peek at them until I see them on Christmas. Fingers crossed they work!

I ended up getting that blue dress (don’t know about this one), white eyelet duster, and that red jacket. I also bought a dress for $80 that won’t ship until the end of the year so it really doesn’t count right? ; ). I’ll let you know if I keep it all or send something back. I am on the fence about the duster and the blue dress but want to see how they fit.

      Have a happy Monday!

  3. I would buy red boots! I didn’t know about the sale. But… I overspent last month so I’m trying not to buy much this month. (My husband will bust a gut laughing if he ever sees this… self-control is not my strong point).

    • I got the red boots as my Christmas present! : ). So excited about those! Self control is not my strong point either. Thankfully there is nothing I want at Anthro right now so I should be set for awhile!

      Have sweet dreams!

  4. Hey Jenni!

Let us know what you purchased =)

I sat out this sale last year too (it was tough!!!) so I was looking forward to it this year!

What I really wanted to purchased was a leather jacket but I’m trying to be patient and wait for it to actually go on sale…

Instead I picked up a couple of the Sienna Plaid maxi skirts, Raleigh Clogs, and another Voile and Lace trapeze slip!
I probably have a dozen of these slips now but I love them so much and just can’t pass up the fun colors 🙂

The red Joe’s Boots look fun =) I love red boots!
I have a cowboy pair and the vintage Anthro Cherry Picked boots that I adore!

The Eyelet Duster is so pretty…I can’t wait to see how you style it!!

This sale was a great start to my weekend…How I wish FP would do it 2 or even 3 times a year!!!

    Have a lovely weekend :0) ♥

    • Thank you! Oh! I am so glad that I am not the only one who purchased something! I am so jealous of your voile and lace slips. They are my favorite. I honestly cannot find the only one that I own. It is driving me crazy looking for it. I was wearing it twice a week and even sleeping in it and now it is nowhere to be found. : (

I ended up getting the red boots (for my husband to give me as my Christmas present), the blue dress, the eyelet duster, and that embroidered jacket. Oh! And the bombaray dress in orange that won’t ship until the end of December! Whew! I want to style the eyelet duster over a white slip with the red boots. I won’t know until after Christmas if it works.

I wish Free People would do this sale more often, too. But it is the frenzy of it only being a short time that makes me pull the trigger on so many items to see if they will work. So smart of them. I didn’t have time to think.

Those plaid skirts are awesome and Imbet the clogs will look great with them! Thank you for sharing! I love knowing what you got! : )

      Sweet dreams!

      Jenni

    • Oh Alicia! I was a bad, bad girl. I ended up getting those red boots for my husband to gift me for Christmas. That blue dress (which is so impractical right now I am not sold on it), the eyelet duster, and the embroidered jacket. I also got a dress that probably won’t even work that won’t ship for a month. I hope I guessed right on the jacket size. I got a size 8. Fingers crossed it works. That is the item I am most excited about (besides the boots).

      Have a lovely Monday!

      Jenni

    • I can see you in the eyelet duster! I liked it the first time around but the quality was not there for the price. I am excited about it for the price it ended up being.

      Have a beautiful Monday!

      Jenni
