It’s The Little Things: World Market Jewelry

I love cheap jewelry. I am a loser of things. I cannot be trusted with nice jewelry. As of now, I have one diamond earring and one gold earring from the two sets my husband has gifted me.

This thrills him.

If you sign up for World Market’s World Explorer Card (not a credit card just a frequent shopper type of program), they send you coupons in the mail. For my birthday, they sent me a coupon for $10 off $10 or more.

Plus, they happened to be doing 20% off their jewelry that day.

He. He. He,” went the voice inside and outside of my head. I might have even rubbed my hands together in maniacal glee.

Mama was gonna get herself a free little bracelet. I knew exactly what I wanted. This gold one with cool embroidery going through it.

But when I got there, I found more pretties.

And, well, it was my birthday.

So, I bought two of those gold cuffs.

And two of these bracelets.

And some bee earrings.

Whew! I sure showed them! Yep. They are ruing the day they sent me that coupon.

Wait!

I just bought how many bracelets?

Well, one of them was free.

And, hey, it was my birthday!

It’s The Little Things: cheap jewelry that is gorgeous, too. And my ability to justify just about anything.

Have you purchased jewelry from World Market? Where do you like to purchase your jewelry? Are there any inexpensive bohemian options I should know about?

  1. Me too! I lose jewelry all the time so I would much rather buy it cheap as well. The fact that I haven’t lost my wedding ring after 11 years is kind of a miracle. Especially since I am always taking it on and off and on and off. I can’t seem to get comfortable with rings and bracelets. I will have to check out World Market. I forget that they have jewelry. The bumblebee earrings are adorable!

    • I am glad I am not alone! I am with you on the wedding rings! I recently purchased a little snail jewelry holder for my kitchen so I can put my rings inside it when I am cooking. It worked fine until I kept forgetting to put them back on for a week. I love World Market’s jewelry. I always wait for a sale and combine it with a coupon. H&M has some neat jewelry right now, too.

I have to tell you that I dropped my daughter off at the mall yesterday and the only thing she was looking for was cat clothes. Marcy would be so proud! : )

      Jenni

      • Did she find anything? Why does she love cat clothes so much? Is it trendy for girls her age or does she want to stand out as quirky or something else? Dying to know!

      • She loves cats. We used to have a cat and my sister has cats, so she cannot wait to have her own cat when she moves out. Plus, every good anime revolves around a cat. And she loves anime! : )

She loves Marcy, too! Just don’t tell her that. She might think you need to give her more Friskies!

        Have a sweet week!

  2. I love their jewelry! Saw those turquoise cuffs last week when I was there. I was good & didn’t buy them, but man. They are SO cute.

    • Thank you Lyn! I still have not worn them yet, but I hope to soon. You are so good! I cannot resist cheap jewelry. I just went to H&M and they had great jewelry, too. It is definitely the summer of accessories that tempt me. : ).

      Have a marvelous Monday!

      • Yes. H&M tempts me too!!! They have such fun stuff there. I actually went to Nordstrom Rack today & found a peach colored lace Free People top. It was perfect. Oh my. And on clearance for $17.95. I got up to the register to pay & it rang up at $1.00. I said, REALLY??? And she scanned it again & that’s what it was. The bargain goddesses were shining on me today!

      • No way!!! I am so jealous! That is amazing! What a great deal. I am so thrilled for you. That made my night to hear that. Lucky girl! : ). Thank you for sharing. That is so cool!

        Sweet dreams!

  3. Those cuffs are fantastic! I may have to look them up! I have to buy cheap jewelry. Kids and babies are not easy on them. In fact, I am not wearing hardly any right now, due to the baby…but I also like to change things up and not spend a ton of money on them. Great picks at World Market!

    • I remember the thrill I got when I could finally wear earrings again after the hiatus with both kids. There are so many horror stories of earrings ripped from ears, I could not chance it. And I only started wearing necklaces three years ago and bracelets this year. I think I am making up for all of those years I never accessorized. World Market is great for jewelry. I like buying cheap accessories because it is a nice little treat when I do not want to spend a ton of money.

I hope you get something awesome! Kids loves big bracelets. It is almost like armor. You might find the boys trying to play Spiderman with them! : )

      Have a beautiful week!

  4. I hope you had a wonderful birthday! I like world market jewelry a lot too. However a few months after I signed up for that card I unsubscribed form the emails. I felt like I at least received one a day,mid not two sometimes & even though I could just delete them that many “junk” emails drive me crazy! Maybe I was trying to not shop so much too, who knows!

    Happy day to you!
    Rebecca

    • Thank you Rebecca. I do get two emails from them a day. It ends up being a lot, but I really do appreciate the coupons when I need them. I think they give really good coupons because they let you combine them with sales. I get so much junk mail. I just do not like it when I unsubscribe from a company’s email list and they keep emailing me.

      Happy dreams to you!

  5. I love Cost Plus and Forever 21 for cheap jewelry and I have to be careful not to over do it. Other cheap places I have found fun jewelry is Kmart’s Bongo and Jaclyn Smith lines, Target of course and ModCloth.
    Happy shopping,
    Stacey

    • I love Forever 21 for jewelry, too. Never a green mark! But the other day I received a bracelet from Anthro and it turned my wrist green. You just never know. I still wear that bracelet because I love it though.

      Have a wonderful Wednesday!

  6. Hi Jenni! Just wanted to say I’ve been a lurker for a few weeks now, and I just love your blog! Your style is so pretty and feminine. I’m a bit bohemian myself, although definitely a “budget bohemian”! But your home and style just really speak to me, unlike so many of the blogs I’ve perused lately. So…jewelry…always a favorite topic of mine! I love World Market jewelry, although it’s probably a good thing there isn’t one closer to me! Last time there I bought a couple pretty pairs of studs(coral and turquoise). I’m trying to add interesting studs to my earring collection, because I tend to have a lot of big, dangly earrings. I’ve found some really neat jewelry in the Mudd line from Kohl’s(juniors dept). Great deals when combining a coupon with their sales.
    Cheers!
    Kerry

    • That is so sweet of you. You really made my day! Thank you! I am a budget bohemian, too. I love that term! : ). Lately I only buy if it is about 75% off retail. I have some turquoise studs from World Market. I wonder if they are the same ones. In fact, I was just looking at them yesterday and debating internally about when I was going to wear them. I have been looking for more studs, too! I am looking for a bigger gold pair if you see any. I will definitely check out Kohl’s. I have to go there for back to school shopping anyway, might as well look for myself, too. I love their coupons!

Thank you for the suggestions and sweet words!

      Have a lovely week!

      Jenni
