“Bonk! Bonk!”

Okay. I had to fit those words in somehow. I cannot recall a time I have ever actually said those words before this week. My husband and I were laying in bed after the kids had gone to school (I selfishly love his crazy hours). And he proceeded to tickle me. I think I scared him silly when to get him to stop, I started yelling, “Bonk!” But it sounded more like a “honk” from a semi-truck being blasted through the horn of a fifty year old bouncer at the end of a long shift guarding the door to a room full of frogs that he had spent years trying to imitate.

Tickle.

“BONK!”

Tickle.

“BONK!”

Tickle.

“BONK!”

It was at this point that one of us erupted into a fit of laughter. And for the first time in history, it wasn’t the person being tickled.

“I think you broke my laugh box,” he said to me.

“Yea, well, that’ll teach you.”

Teach him what? That somewhere in the depths of my soul a semi-truck bred with a crazy clown and the only offspring they managed to produce was a terrifying sound?

I have to wonder what other freaky infant noises are being harbored in my soul.

“BONK!”

That baby might just be the most annoying creation in history. I need to quiet the urge.

Tickle.

“BO-“

  1. Bonk is a great word! It reminds me of Peanuts and Snoopy which always makes me smile.
I turn murderous when someone tries to tickle me and fly into a crazy rage that always scares the person into never ever ever ever doing it again. Oh gosh do I hate it. I always say it would just be better to punch me than to tickle me. Grrrr…

    • I don’t like being tickled either. But I can tolerate it from my husband. : ). That would definitely scare me! I will remember not to tickle you!

      Have a beautiful Sunday!

  2. Wahahaha! you guys are seriously adorable! I love this story, it put such a big smile on my face. Ever watch that movie “Four Weddings and a Funeral?” The one that made Hugh Grant famous? Well, they use the word “bonking” there… 😉

You know, I’m not ticklish at all. Victor is the only person who can tickle me a little bit, and even then, I can kind of control it. Other people don’t have a chance. I know, I know, freak of nature…

    • Okay. I am such a dork. I forgot that that word could be used in that context, too! How funny! Is it wrong to like the word even more now?! I am so ticklish. I have to take deep breaths in order to get a massage. I am so excited because I bought my husband and myself discounted massages on Tuesday. I hope I can handle it! : )

I hope your week is happy!
