It’s The Little Things: Etsy Necklaces

I wanted to do a quick little post today highlighting some of my favorite necklaces that I own from Etsy. I have many more items I love from Etsy. And I will highlight those on another day. I just love the creativity that goes on at Etsy. It blows my mind how talented so many people are! I also love that you can purchase from all over the world.

I will admit to being an Etsy addict. I love the whole idea and concept of it. And all of the people I have purchased from been lovely. I do not have the artistic talent to create objects. I admire those who do.

On to the necklaces:

First up is my Simply Livly Turquoise Necklace. It goes with everything. I have even bought some as gifts for friends. I love the jersey tie that can make it longer or shorter. The seller is wonderful. The sweetest.

My mother gifted me with this Animal Totem Necklace from KnitKnit for one of my Christmas presents. I always seem to wear it when my husband is not home and therefore I have no one to take pictures of me wearing it. But I do wear it and I love it!

I just wore my Lunahoo Moon Necklace, yesterday. It is the perfect length. The chain is a gorgeous color. I like that I can pair this necklace with other gold necklaces or even bronzy ones.

Have you ever purchased jewelry from Etsy? Do you make jewelry? Are there other artisans you would recommend that sell jewelry there? Please share.

I will be doing more posts in the next few months highlighting artists, home accessories, more jewelry and vintage items from sellers that I have personally purchased from.

It’s The Little Things: little accessories. And the talent to make them. I love it!

  1. I love Esty, there are so many talented artists and the work is so imaginative and brilliant. I have been buying lots of necklaces from a number of sellers. I love crystals and have found so many gorgeous necklaces and pendants. Recently I have purchased from three different sellers and have been so happy with my purchases.I find the prices are reasonable, they also take special orders. I am very happy to hand over my money to these smaller business in which provide a brilliant product.
So yes, I am also addicted to Esty and check daily to see what new creations are being made!

    • I so agree with you, Melinda. I would love to hear your thoughts on crystals sometime. I find the properties of them and magnets fascinating. I have to stop myself from going on Etsy too often. I just cannot resist all of the gorgeous finds! Plus, they are mostly such reasonable prices. I only had one snafu and I never told the seller, because I thought it was funny. But I bought a couple of packs of Christmas cards a few years ago and one of her kids had gotten into one of the packs and written his name in all of the cards. If that is the worst thing, I can handle it! ; )

      Have a fantastic Friday!

  2. I do craft and sell items on Etsy. I haven’t been making much jewellery lately as my blogging has taken over every other aspect of my life it seems. I sell many more pug items or cards than I’ve sold jewelry. The jewelry is very time consuming to make so I never manage to make enough money from them on Etsy.

There are so many unique and wonderful handmade items on Etsy as you’ve shown here.

    • You are so talented, Suzanne! I love your drawings. Modcloth should hire you, because they love pugs! They have so many pug items! I would love to see your jewelry. I bet it is rad. I love Etsy so much! It is like going to an international craft fair in my bed!

      Have a creative Friday!

  3. It is so funny that you did this post, as I just started up my Etsy shop again! I make jewelry and have the most luck selling it locally, but thought I would try Etsy again. I was actually thinking of contacting you to donate a piece for one of your giveaways! I think I am going to post a giveaway as well to celebrate my relaunch! I’ll be in touch via email if you are interested.

    • I would LOVE to do that Heather! That would be so fun. I was so bummed when I saw your shop was closed a few months ago. You are so talented. Definitely contact me! : )

      Have a delightful Friday!

  4. I love Etsy too and just purchased the cutest cat ring that should arrive soon. I found my logo designer on Etsy as well as the designer for my social media icons. I also got the sweetest baby gift for my sister last year. Etsy is so incredible. I love that they are independent artists and would much rather purchase from them than a regular retailer. They make me wish I was crafty too! I could get lost on the site for hours!

    • I agree with you Cynthia. I would rather support the artist directly than through a box store. I bought all of my sister’s baby shower decorations on Etsy! I loved the homemade beautiful creations I was able to find. I cannot wait to see the ring you got. Hmmm. Does it look more like Marcy or Penelope Kitten?!

      Have a fun Friday!

  5. Why look at you, layering those necklaces! I love Etsy too, and have purchased anything from my yoga bag to… um, well I can’t remember but I’ve got a lot of stuff from them! *blushes* My favourite jewellery seller on Etsy is Linkeldesigns, you should check her out sometime – she has sooo much pretty stuff! I actually do make jewellery myself sometime – I could make something for you if you like! I’m good at earrings – but I’d never dream of starting an Etsy shop… too much other stuff to do, and I’m nowhere near as talented as the people on there!

    • I totally thought of you when I paired my two necklaces together! I did it again today! I am such a rebel! It was fun. I will still never ever wear earrings and a necklace at the same time, but more than one necklace has become “okay” for me. : )

I love that shop you linked you linked to! Her jewelry is so pretty and reasonably priced! : )

Have you worn your jewelry on your blog? That is so cool that you make it. Gosh, I am am so uncreative. I cannot make anything!

      Have a cool week!

    • Thank you Melodee! I just love Etsy! It is my favorite stuff to ask for for Christmas. The items are all so special!

I hope your week is sweet!

  6. I can spend hours browsing around Etsy. I love the mix of vintage pieces and handmade artisan goods. Plus, ordering from Etsy feels like you’re supporting the everyman, you know? I do really love that moon necklace you did the giveaway for, but the others are sweet and boho and eclectic, too. I ordered necklaces off Etsy to wear to my sister-in-laws weddings last year. Since you can shop Etsy by color, it was really easy to find a huge selection of necklaces in their weddings colors. Plus, I felt like I got some special, unique pieces that had a bit more flair and personality than David’s Bridal’s offerings.

    • I like how you got your jewelry to match her wedding colors off of Etsy. I never would have thought of that. I have a wedding to go to tomorrow. I leave in the morning. I still have not picked out what I am going to wear. I am thinking my pink frothed dots dress like yours. I have not worn it in awhile.

      Have a terrific weekend!
