This giveaway is now closed. Thank you to all who entered!

No, this is not dejavu. Or I guess it kind of is. With me being sick, the thought of putting together a giveaway and then mailing the giveaway prize was daunting. So, this month I am doing a repeat of last month’s giveaway. Yup. I am doing a $25 Anthropologie e-gift card giveaway again.

Cause I love that store.

And you guys love that store.

And I am being lazy.

As some of you know, doing the giveaway each month is my favorite part of my blog. I appreciate all of the warm fuzzies you guys give me throughout the month. This is my little way of giving back. Because you guys are so incredibly awesome!

The winner of this giveaway will win a $25 e-gift card to Anthropologie. As soon as I hear back from the winner, I will email them their gift card so they can get shopping. Easy peasy.

I saw something fantastic on The Pleated Poppy’s Blog this week. She speaks of having a word of the year that you strive for instead of creating individual resolutions. I would love my year to be “peaceful.” I do not want any conflict or big ups (okay, I will admit that would be nice) or downs. A nice mellow year would be wonderful.

To enter to win the $25 e-gift card to Anthropologie, simply leave a comment stating what you would like your word for 2014 to be. You can leave an explanation or simply leave the word if you want to remain mysterious.

You can also earn a second entry by following this blog. You can do so any old way on the right hand side of the page. Just make sure to leave a second comment stating you are following.

Limit two entries per person.

This giveaway runs from Friday, January 10, 2014 12:00 a.m. PST to Tuesday January 14, 2014 at 9:00 p.m. PST.

I will be using random.org to pick one winner from the comments received. I will contact the winner on January 15th using the email address provided by the winner in their comment/comments. I will post the winner’s name on this blog on January 16th.

Okay. I think that is it for technicalities.

* This giveaway is not sponsored or affiliated with Anthropologie.

* I will attempt to contact the winner three times. If I receive no response within two weeks, the winner will have forfeit the prize. A new winner will be drawn.

* Past winners are welcome to enter. : )

Thank you to everyone who enters! I appreciate you all so very much!

  1. Hi Jenni, my word is “Magic” to believe in magic beyond this crazy world and to believe.
“believe” was my last years word.

  2. Jenni, my word this year is “Calm”. 2013 was a year of upheaval both personally and professionally and I am hoping for some calm in 2014. Happy New Year to you and your family and looking forward to new great recipes!

  3. My word of the year is Breathe. I vow to breathe, live in the present, appreciate the small moments with my children, family and friends.

  5. Enthusiasm is my word. We have relocated recently for my husbands job and I am attempting to be more enthusiastic about new experiences in our new environment, home, work and friends.

Also thanking whatever power there is that we have 2 very healthy children!!! Thank you! Lyn

Third, what are those shoes called? They are so cute! I need to track down a pair!
Fourth, my word for the year is “finish,” as in finish this thesis, it has been in the works waaaay tooooo long.
    Thanks!
    Vanessa

  8. I had not come up with a word of the year. However, each of my new years resolutions is about…baking. Bake a cheesecake. Bake a Tart. Bake a lemon meringue pie. Bake croissants. Bake bagels.

So I guess my word of the year is “Bake.” haha.

  9. I usually come up with a word for the year. It helps me keep things in perspective. We had a rough year in 2013, so this year I blogged about the work “bounty”. Finding the bountiful things in life.

  10. My word for 2014 is “Healthy.” Like you, I lost a lot of weight via Weight Watchers a couple years ago and maintained it for a good year or more. Last year, however, was rather stressful, and so my eating and exercising habits suffered, and I gained some of the weight back (fortunately not all of it). However, I’ve been “back on the wagon” for the past couple weeks and am determined to get back to my goal weight and stay healthy. My husband is also getting back into running again so it’s nice to have a common goal in mind.

Speaking of healthy, I hope you start feeling better soon! Not a fun way to start off the new year. πŸ™

  11. My word for 2014 is Healthy. Like you, I have been sick going on two weeks now and I don’t want to feel this weak and puny ever again.

  12. Hi Jenni! I’m so happy to see and read what’s happening with you via your fantastic blog, especially when we haven’t had time to get together. What a great question…only one word, you really have to think & be specific. I love and feel many of the other’s chosen words. My word for 2014 is VIBRANT. Due to some personal and business challenges last year, I sort of became numb, not alive, which felt weird and awful. So this year I want to be ME, and the definition of vibrant: full of energy & enthusiasm, spirited, full of life, effervescent, awake!
Thank you Jenni! I love you bunches.

  13. My word for 2014 is fulfillment. Due to family changes and hopefully achieving a lifetime personal goal, I’m looking forward to feeling very fulfilled this year.

  14. I love your idea of one word for the new year!
I had a hard time choosing just one but with two daughters in college and starting a new job , I feel like I never sit and reflect on my life , day etc..
So I hope to start and end my days in reflection .

  15. Hi Jenni, my word for the year is ‘patience.’ My husband and I have been trying to find a house and start a family soon so I would like to remember that everything will happen in due time! πŸ™‚

  16. My word for 2014 is “discovery,” because I want to try lots of new things and get out and do stuff! I’m very excited for this year.

  17. My word is “appreciative”. To try to take the time and appreciate the many blessings in my life, despite the business and chaos of each day. πŸ™‚

  18. I think my word for this year would be “enjoy.” I hope to remind my self to slow down and enjoy ever day. Thanks for the giveaway!

  19. First of all, I adore the matching gnome sweaters. They are so cute! And I’m glad to see you looking healthy and well again! πŸ™‚ I am totally with you about Anthropologie’s prices. I have had people ask me how on Earth I can afford to shop there, but I have just learned how to shop their sales. Honestly, I feel like I spend about as much as my friends who buy their clothing full price at places like Old Navy and Target. Funny enough, one of my good friends spent more on a winter coat at Old Navy than I did on a high quality trench from Anthro that I’ve been wearing all season. πŸ˜‰

My word for 2014 would be “content.” Thank you so much for the opportunity to win the giveaway; I’m keeping my fingers crossed!

  20. Great contest. This seems like one of those fairy wishing things, where you have to be very careful otherwise things could backfire. I think my word for 2014 would be “pleasant”. That’s pretty safe.

    FrockandHound

  21. By the way, please don’t think I’m nuts… I had just looked at your “gnome sweater” post but idiotically jumbled my thoughts into one comment on this particular post. In my defense, I didn’t have enough coffee in my system today to ever get my brain in perfectly working order! πŸ˜‰

  22. Jenni,
Thank you so much for your generous giveaway. I hope you are feeling much improved. My word for this year is “forward.” I received some bad news at the end of 2013 and all I can think is I have to put one foot in front of the other and move forward, so that is the word. Last year’s word was “Present” as in being present in every moment. Still continuing to work on that. Thank you again for this lovely giveaway and your inspiring posts!
    Kindra

  23. I would like my word this year to be “growth.” I’m trying my hand at a lot of new things this year (like baking–I just made your cinnamon roll cake this weekend and it came out divine, but baking is defintiely a stretch for me!) and new projects. I have a lot of cool opportunities this year, and I hope I can make the most of them and grow from them.

  24. Hi Jenni! I’m going to stick with the same word I had for 2013, because it was so good for so many reasons. I heard someone say she was “seeking to live ‘unoffended’ this year”, and I thought that sounded like a wonderful way to live. Here’s to a fabulous 2014!

  25. my word is change. i plan to move to SC with my sister and finally get my own apartment and get a teaching job after looking/subbing for 5 years in NY.

  26. It’s so hard to choose one word Jenni. But, I choose “balance”. Balance in self. Balance in marriage. Balance in parenthood. Balance in life. I wish you a peaceful year.
