It’s The Little Things: Sephora’s VIB 20% Off Event

I am just a tad bit more excited today than usual. It is finally here! Sephora’s yearly sale for their VIB members. Really quick, VIB stands for “Very Important Beauty Insider.” You have to spend $350 a year at Sephora to qualify (welcome to the world of having a teenage daughter). Right now, they are giving VIB’s 20% off everything from November 7-11th with a special offer code. Hooray! I waited all year to stock up on my make up and all of my daughter’s necessities.

Of course, my cart held a Chubby Stick…or two. I am also going to try the Chubby Stick Eyeshadows.

It is also such a great time for gift buying as well. I know I purchased some great gifts for family members today. ; )

I also stocked up on my nightly facial wipes that I use from Ole Henriksen.

I have been experimenting with fake eyelashes, so I bought some more.

And I picked up some tubes of Benefit’s They’re Real Mascara. This may seem hypocritical after my other purchase above, but a girl’s gotta have options. And fun. Lots of fun!

If you are not a VIB, there is still a chance you can save 20%. The invitation says the VIB can bring a friend with them to the store. So, if you have a friend who is a VIB, maybe you could ask to go shopping with them.

Also, going through ebates online will save an additional 4% back after discounts are applied.

If you are not a VIB with Sephora or maybe now is just not the time to buy make up, my giveaway this month is for something fun from Sephora. I do not know when I will receive it in the mail, but stay tuned for more information on November 10th!

It’s The Little Things: A company appreciating their clientelle! Thank you Sephora!

Are you participating in this event? What is at the top of your wishlist? Please share!

  1. OMG, I love Sephora! What an awesome promotion. I wish we had Sephora in the UK.
🙁 But they have them in France, yay! I have to tell you though, I think makeup does “expire” and go bad, so maybe be careful buying stuff for a whole year or more? I am SO entering your giveaway, when you do it! 🙂

    • Hi Gwen! You know, I had heard that about make up, but I think the things I bought will keep. I did this last year, too, and it was okay. Fingers crossed, because I am cheap!

Definitely enter the giveaway. It is too bad you do not have a Sephora near you. Although, I do have one near me and I hardly ever get to it. I do almost everything online. It is cheaper that way with ebates.

      Have a great weekend!

    • Hi Keiko!

I hope you find something. I bought way way too much make up. But I was almost all out. I only stock up about once a year. It satisfies my need to hoard things.

I loved your reviews today. I am going back over there tonight to reread them in detail.

      Have a great Friday!

  2. I thought I made it to be a VIB(I have 570 points) but apparently not..darn.
No emails and the code doesn’t work for me…oh well 🙂
I’ll keep an eye out for your giveaway…happy shopping 🙂

    • Hi Kara!

When you add stuff to your cart, does it say at the top “you need **** points to become a VIB.” Or something like that? I am wondering if your order would count towards making you one.

Maybe it is wrong. I would contact customer service to see. Points accumulate over the years and do not expire, so unfortunately that might not be telling.

But there have been so many mistakes on their website today, I would just drop them an email. It would not hurt!

I hope it works for you! : ). Have a great Friday!

  3. Holy cow $350! I don’t think I could spend that at Sephora over my entire lifetime. I’m 47 years old, and just finally replaced the blush I bought over 20 years ago. My mascara lasts about 7 years. My lip gloss (I only have 1 color) lasts probably about 5 years. And I have the same eye-liner pencil that I’ve had for maybe 25 years. And that’s it. I guess I don’t wear much makeup! I’ve never worn perfume. I was a competitive swimmer when I was younger so makeup was a hassle and my perfume was the chlorine smell I always had after swimming so much. Hahaha. But I guess I could invest that much money in anti-wrinkle cream. LOL!

    • Hi Lucy!

I think that is wonderful that you can keep your make up for that amount of time. I think that is probably a really good lesson for children, too. I feel naked without my make up. Which I guess is kind of silly and sad.

But it is what it is.

I applaud you for being your authentic self!

Have a beautiful week! And chlorine in the hair is a great perfume!

      : )

    • Hi Mels!

I am sorry! I all ready gave my friend code away. Maybe someone else will see this, though.

      Have a great weekend!
