Dear Children: Summer Vacation Has Started?

Dear Children,

It is going to be a long summer.

You have been home on summer vacation for four hours and seventeen minutes.

You brought home a cake that was supposed to go to one of your teachers. I am scared about the cakes that did get handed out. And I am equally scared they were eaten.

We have exchanged approximately forty sentences.

Twenty of those sentences were met with , ” huh huh.”

You have also uttered the following words:

“The paint color you chose makes the room look small.”

“Well, at least it’s not brown or cream.”

When asked to stop licking your churro, because it was grossing me out, you responded, “then leave.”

Um, no.

And then proceeded to say, “Well, he dipped his in salsa.”

Which led to a disgusted look and an admittance I did not want to hear.

So, yes, it is going to be a long summer.

What day is it?

How long until September?

Love your very kind,

(and clock watching) mother
