A Special Giveaway

THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED.

Everyone knows raising a teenage daughter is tough. Might I venture to say, one of the hardest things I will ever do. Clothes shopping has become a game of wits. A battle of who is outmaneuvering who. I have a sneaking suspicion I am losing. If I say I like it, will she hate it? What kind of day is it? Giving advice is a slowly thought out process.

I found this lovely necklace at Anthropologie during a sale. It was originally $58, marked down to $19.99. It is a hand-bound tiny little book made by Peg and Awl with actual pages. It was called Little Musings Necklace. I made a deal with my daughter that when one of us wears the necklace, she will leave a kind note for the other one to find when she wears it next. Make sense?

Here are some examples:

This little book has been a small love letter exchange between my daughter and myself. I hope to fill the pages before she leaves us for college in four years. Then she can take it with her and remember that someone out there loves her unconditionally.

I found another necklace on sale the other day at Anthropologie and I thought it would be so much fun to share the love some more. So, I am giving it away on my one month anniversary of my blog. You know I like any reason to celebrate. Bring on the cake!

If you have a daughter, use it like we do. If you have a partner, give it to him/her. Give it to your mother. Give it to your brother. Or better yet, keep it, and write yourself some love letters. It is all good!

To enter simply: leave a comment on this post. You can say whatever you like as long as you keep it clean and nice. You can also earn an extra entry by following this blog. To do so, simply “follow blog by email” on the right hand side of the page. Make sure you do the follow up email prompt that will be sent to your email address. You can also follow through WordPress or RSS on the right. Then, leave another comment saying “I am following you!”. If you are all ready a sweet follower: First leave a comment. Then leave another comment stating “I am all ready following.”

Whew! Glad that is out of the way!
